Hello, We’re the Andros!
Hi, I’m Staci the green thumb behind Hazel & Goose! My husband Nick and I were inspired to be in the flower business after our wedding in 2016. Our wedding florist proudly sourced our flowers from local flower farmers. The following year we were able to purchase our first Dahlia tubers from the same flower farmer that provided our florist with the flowers for our wedding! That’s where our flower farming journey began!
After our son Crosby was born, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with him and our 70-pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Hazel. We were able to spend more time in our gardens and began sharing our blooms with family, friends, and neighbors. Fall 2019 we enrolled in Floret’s flower workshop to strengthen our flower growing skills. Our urban flower farm was created spring of 2020. Our tiny space was only 280 sqaure feet that housed over 400 plants, 39 varieties. That’s not including our 120 square feet of Dahlias, our perennial row of Peonies, and Garden Roses, or the Andro pumpkin patch!
Since we had the extra time at home during 2020, that gave us additional opportunities to enhance our floral education. As our knowledge grew so did our garden beds. Each season we add more and more new varieties of flowers to share with you!
Since then, we’ve added another flower child to our family, little Luna joined us May of 2021 and that’s when our Full Moon Flower Subscriptions began! This season we are offering more subscription options and hope to extend our growing season. We are also dipping our toes into the world of weddings, it’s a thrilling expierence so far. We are SO excited to provide locally grown flowers to our local communities!
“Thank you for letting us share our little piece of earth with you! We hope it brings you and yours as much joy as it does to us!”
